Snow Queen Info ‘09

The Dream of the Snow Queen 2009 To be held at The Bankhead Theater on November 28th , 2009 at 2:00 and 7:00 pm The Dream of the Snow Queen sign-ups will take place at the studio during the month of April with applications due no later than June 1st. Applications will be available in the studio lobbies. Please complete the application and enclose the participation fee in the attached envelopes. Choreography will be taught throughout the summer during the 5 week schedule. Dancers will need to attend summer and fall technique classes to participate. We will post dance placement and rehearsal times in early June once all dancers have registered. Because our fall classes do not start until Tuesday, September 8th, there will be Snow Queen rehearsals on Wednesday, September 2nd and Thursday, September 3rd in the afternoon. Weekend rehearsals will be held on Saturdays with 2 scheduled in September (9/12, 9/26), 3 in October (10/10, 10/17, 10/24), and 3 in November (11/7, 11/14, 11/21). These rehearsals will run from 10:30 to 5:00. Many dancers will spend less than 3 hours at each rehearsal. There will be on-stage rehearsals at The Bankhead Theater the week of November 23th. Fees for The Dream of the Snow Queen will be due in full on June 1st. The cost is $75 per dancer, per Division. The cost covers all summer rehearsal classes, as well as, fall rehearsals, and a post-production party with a gift to commemorate the event. There is also a costume rental fee of $15 per dancer, per Division. This year's production will be similar to years past with an updated story line and exciting new choreography and costuming. We are not auditioning the solo parts this year, but will contact those dancers we feel are best suited for the parts. Thank you, Shelly and Liz
